VILLEROY & BOCH CESTO SALT & PEPPER SHAKER SET - 2 TOTAL

This wonderful pair of salt and pepper shakers is from Villeroy & Boch Mettlach fine porcelain bone china and is from their CESTO line of dinnerware. I personally carried this home from Germany in 1990 after visiting the company and went on a tour and bought many pieces of this design directly from the showroom. This was the year that the wall "came down" and it was quite exciting to be in Germany at that time. This low starting bid should definitely be encouraging if this is right for you!  The design is quite similar to DELTA but has the beautiful colors and design of lattice and swirled leaves instead of being a plain piece, so if you have pieces of DELTA,  it is a fine accompanying piece. The salt and pepper shakers stand 1 3/4" tall and are 2 1/4" across the top area with a base of 1" and are not marked.  The other pieces that were purchased at the same time have written in German that it is Spulmaschminenfest, Garanti lave-vaisselle, dishwasher safe and are marked W. GERMANY (Prior to 1990) and it is the same as the others in manufacture, design and quality.
If I have asked too much  money to ship to your area, you will get a refund immediately.  I will do whatever possible to reduce the cost of shipping. The amount listed here is simply an estimate and very seldom is it increased, and then only for real distance, weight of the package and insurance. A corrected invoice will be sent if necessary. It is YOUR responsibility to file a claim for any insured items that are damaged because that is what Insurance is purchased for. This is the U.S. Post Office requirement and this information is found on their web site on the “File A Claim” page.  I can NOT file claims with the Post Office for you. E Bay might tell you differently, but the U.S. Postal Regulations and Requirements are very clear. In order for the claim to be processed with the Post Office, the receiver of the damaged item must file the claim at their local Post Office or you may file online. You will need to keep the damaged item, the box with the labels on it, and all of the original packing materials as the Post Office may require them for proof of damage.
If the item is broken or damaged during shipping (I ALWAYS inspect everything before it leaves here) and there is insurance on the item, the claim must be started at the buyer's location and should not be returned to me. Always contact me to make sure that you have everything you need to do this. I wrap very well and don't expect there to be any problems.
