British Red Ensign flag used by merchant/private ships. Also used as a courtesy flag for non-UK ships that enter UK waters. Do not make the mistake of flying the UK national flag!

The UK canton is a separate piece of material sewn onto the red fly. Although this may not seem like a big deal, it means that the red fly part is dyed and not digitally printed. The red is just as dark on both sides and is a true red. Digital printing will make the reverse side of the flag lighter and the red is not a deep red.
