I use it everyday. My bike rolls nice and smooth. The resistance controller feels like it may break easily, so be careful tightening it to your handlebars.

I never had a trainer before but have plenty of bikes that go to waste when the wind is blowing and thought I'd give it a try, before getting too fat and lazy from waiting for the wind to die down. Very surprised with the quality from a sale price under , that I couldn't see much difference between it and the plus trainers and rolled the dice. Guess I got it on sale, cause it quickly went back up to .95 And since I'm not a fan of being stuck in one spot, I probably wouldn't have spent or more an any of them. It does work as it should, but hopefully it'll only get minimal use, but definitely worth the sale price. BTW! What I received is not exactly like the one pictured in ad. My pics. 2&3 control lever is still 7 speed, but not the same as pictured in ad. and instead of a 6, mine has a 9??? Is it a better model or worse?

This stand is cheap price wise, but it seems to be well built. It holds my bike securely as soon as I figured out how to do it correctly. BUT I couldn't install my bike with the 29" wheel on, while it says it works with this size.

Trust me, I am a stickler for quality. For the money you can not beat this. There are some parts but few at that. Mine will be used as a permanent exerciser. Should last quite a few years. Beautiful color and detail very good.

I received this on 3/31/22. I ordered the unassembled due to the huge difference in price. I'm not sure what I needed to assemble, but it seemed to be already together. The only thing I did was adjust it to fit my bike and put the tension dial on the bike! At first it seemed to not increase tension as I adjusted. I put the roller tighter on the the back tire and that did the trick (the directions say to only have the roller slightly touch the tire, but that did not work). I've only used it twice for a short period of time, so I cannot review the longevity on how well it holds up, but as for now it is definitely worth the cost. The frame seems very durable and bike does not move much at all, even on carpet. It is loud but I have nothing to compare it to. Directions are bad but there really isn't much to it for set up.

The media could not be loaded.  The good: it's quite sturdy, and you would probably guess just by looking at it that it cost at least -50. The original bike axle is on the left, and the one they give you in the box on the right. I thought the one they gave you was a little thicker, but the calipers show they're the same thickness. You can see that the original bike axle would never fit into the trainer since the tensioner knob is at the end rather than on the side as the one they give you in the box. So that's very good that they thought to do that, or a lot of people like me would never have gotten it to attach to the trainer.The bad: The video shows how incredibly noisy it is. Granted my bike is a hybrid so the tires are somewhat "knobby" but still, it's quite loud when in use. The other bad thing is that the magnetic resistance adjustment does essentially nothing. It has 8 levels of resistance, but the resistance is basically the same whether the adjuster is in position 1 or position 8. The only way to adjust the tension then is with the large knob at the bottom, which I guess is ok as long as you don't mind stopping to adjust it every time because the one mounted on the handlebars does nothing.Final verdict: I was thinking about returning it, but the return window closed yesterday. My fault for waiting too long. I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a serious trainer. Or lives in an apartment with someone downstairs from you.

Starting to make some noises after a few weeks of use. Noise seems to be coming from the flywheel or the driveshaft that the bike wheel spins. Not hopeful that it'll last more than a year.

Maybe that's obvious to others but it won't work with my electric bike because of the battery cable to motor which goes thru the axle. The clamp that comes with this doesn't have a slot to accommodate the cable and you need that for an electric bike.Even though it doesn't work, I've been looking at make it work because it was cheap and all of these have the same basic frame. But what I've noticed is that the frame tends to fold in but don't just reach for it to correct because this thing can bite. Be very careful when folding or unfolding. The d thing makes me nervous just looking at it. Didn't draw blood but tried to take a pretty good chunk of my arm off.I didn't buy this as a bike trainer but that was a selling point. I bought it mainly so I could finally install and tune everything that the seller/manufacturer didn't do. So, I can't say how durable this is, or how fit or well this works as a bike trainer. So mainly my rating is mainly because there's nowhere in the description that this won't work with an electric, and the pictures are not that illustrative either.

I’m still trying to figure this out!The tire rubs against the mag, but I thought they would spin together.Gears don’t seem to switch with the supplied knob. I’m hoping it gets better as I work out kinks. I don’t want the hassle of returning it.

Was a bit skeptical when I purchased this item. However, from set up to actual exercise this product is engineered extremely well. I haven't used it for more than two months indoors so durability is still a question. Wont fit my bike or my wife's bike. Both are normal mid range bikes. No way to adjust enough to fit. When rear wheel axle is out far enough to catch the wheel it is so weak it flips all over the place. Most disappointed and dont reccomend. Will definately be returning. Big pain in the......

Would not recommend. After being delivered incredibly late, I finally got to use it and the resistance on this item hardly works, and it is the loudest operation ever. Unnatural feeling ride. It is easy to take the bike in and out, but not a good ride to simulate training. Wish I could return it, but I received this item too late.

It doesn't pick up the signal off the rear tire, so I moved it to the cross bar. Come summer when I can run it off the front tire, all should be good. Very nice product with easy to use display.

I always get out of shape during the Canadian winter so I thought I should try a bike trainer. This Max trainer has worked out very well. I hang my recumbent on it and I get a low-impact aerobic workout every day. The specs say the minimum wheel size is 26", and my bike has a weird rear wheel size (25", in fact) so I was a bit worried about the fit, but the resistance roller easily adjusts to reach my rear tire. With my slick tires it's pretty quiet. Apparently knobbly trail tires are quite noisy. The Max trainer has a resistance setting which I basically ignore. I just set it somewhere in the middle and use my 9 gears to vary the resistance. That works for me.

My resistance control broke within the warranty period and I just asked for a replacement shifter but have never heard from company after multiple tries. Phone number does not work. Email or online form does not get answered so basically no customer service at all.

Its works, however it is not very smooth running and the gears resistance doesn't seem to work. It's also a lot of work to get my bike on and off as the wheel lock is different then the one on my bike

I love that I can still ride my bike during inclement weather. I did have to remove my bike's axle bar and install the one included with the trainer, but that was a quick swap and the bike went right into the stand. I can quickly put my bike on and take it off in minutes. The only think I found out after was that it puts the bike further off the ground so I need a step stool to get on and off my bike when it's in the trainer. I love that I can adjust the tension to how much resistance I want and that there is a controller for the tension that attaches to my handlebars. Excellent trainer!

Viene armado y listo para utilizarse, se ajusta perfecto a la llanta de la bicicleta y queda firme, aún no he probado los niveles de resistencia más allá del 3 pero si se siente el cambio al pedalear. Ocupa poco espacio tanto desplegado como para guardarse.

The bike trainer came nicely packed. It is very sturdy and easy to setup. It fits bikes of different wheel sizes. However, that's the end of it. Once I started pedalling on the bike, the entire setup generated noise literally like an engine. That's a completely different experience when riding a bike. If you don't mind the noise, this is a great unit. For me, not.

Muy buen producto, la construcción es fuerte, el modelo azul incluye una base para la rueda delantera y un controlador de resistencia por cable, del cual el control se puede montar fácilmente en el manubrio de la bicicleta. Debido a que la bicicleta es de ruta, la rueda no hace tanto ruido al rodar sobre el rodillo del soporte. Lo único que no me pareció tan bien es que el manual es demasiado simple y le falta explicar algunos detalles, por ejemplo el ajuste del rodillo, pero como el equipo es tan sencillo es fácil deducir cómo hacerlo.

I need to be able to spend time riding so that when summer comes, my body does not have to suffer through the first couple of weeks. The setup is easy and there is a nice dial to change the resistance while riding. After 45 minutes, you feel like you've been on a good ride. There is no coasting, so the resistance is steady and is a bit like riding up a 3% grade, or more if you increase the resistance. On the first 30 seconds, the feel is not exactly like biking in that you have to exert extra pressure to get moving. This appears to be a good quality product.One caution: I ordered a wireless odometer. It must be connected to the back tire, since the front tire does not move. The max reach for this was about 22", so the meter had to be mounted near the seat.

Easy setup, took me 10 minutes out of the box. I installed a training tire on my bike to prevent the original tire from melting on the metal magnetic rotation bar. Works great, the tension is quite noticeable after 2nd level and gives you a good workout. I'd buy it for anyone I know who wants to train indoors through the winter.

The trainer is exactly as described. It is what I was looking for; an easy to set up and use, affordable, entry level trainer. I am enjoying it so far. My mountain bike tires caused quite the commotion in the house the first time I used it LOL. Much better now that I changed the tires to slicks. Now I can listen to music no problem. The trainer is not noisy at all, any noise will be due to the bikes tires. Seller experience was great. Delivery was super fast even though it was right before Christmas. Highly recommended.

I had both hips replaced and was looking forward to using this as part of my physical therapy at home. Assembled it and my Diamondback Vital 2 with 700, 27 wheels does not fit in it. Too late to return it now and I would really like one that will fit my bike.

We have been using this for a few weeks and so far very pleased. The moving mechanism is quiet (contrary to some other reviews). We do find that there isn’t much of a difference with the resistance from 1-10, however we use our bicycle to create the resistance we require.

For the basics of turning my Mountain Bike into an indoor bike the MAX Racer Pro does the job for the price I paid. It was very easy to set up and start using. I did heed other reviews and got an indoor training tire for my bike. Like some of those other reviews, I too experienced the roller chewing through the rubber of the tire at contact points; so much so that the pieces of rubber turn the wall behind the bike black.Even though the unit was advertised as a 7 level resistance model, the one I got has 8 levels of resistance. Even so, the resistance is not as noticeable as I would have thought. Now, because of the roller burning through the rubber I have stopped using the resistance roller and now only using my bikes gears and the MAX Racer as a support unit. Unfortunately without the resistance I can not peddle fast enough to bring my HR up the 100-120 bpm I need to have an effective Cardio workout. The end result is a choice between replacing chewed up tires on a regular basis or a HR sitting just below effectiveness due too my naturally low resting HR.The RAD MAX Racer Pro will do the job, just be aware there are additional considerations to keep in mind.

Ive been using this for about 2 weeks now, easy to setup. Resistance works although i had to adjust the cable out of the box. Noise is humming sound which was to be expected, NOISE WILL DEPEND ON YOUR TIRES, if you throw a mtb with knobby tires expect it to be LOUD. Ive seen no tire wear that others have reported. For the price this is excellent.

Great little trainer. Gets a lot of use in the winter. Magnetic resistance seems a bit weak but still makes my lazy body sweat like a horse. Defiantly gets the job done. Came with a skewer which is a nice touch because the skewer on my bike is too big for the mount - a quick swap and you’re ready to rock.

So you either set this too close, if you want proper resistance, and then it will eat through your training tire like crazy, leaving nasty stains behind it and on the spindle, coupled with burning rubber smell. Or you leave a millimeter of space as suggested by the manual so that when you actually sit on it, it will have minimal rolling resistance. Except the magnetic resistor doesn't really do anything even on the hardest level, and it's super-easy to pedal for a regular cyclist.So while it's a good product for the price, I wouldn't recommend cheapoing out on a proper stationary if you are more serious about riding. It's a good entry level item though.
