Description
Coalport Hand Painted Turquoise Floral Gold Porcelain Slop Waste Bowl 1825-1850Beautiful early British porcelain waste bowl. Decorated in an unusual pattern with a wide aqua band with gold gilt decoration and hand painted purple and yellow pansy flowers, pink roses, blue & red cornflowers, and blue and purple pansy flowers. Floral decoration in the center of the bowl. Circa 1825 to 1850. Unmarked. Attributed to Coalport. A bowl in the same blank but in a different pattern is pictured in Geoffrey Godden's book Coalport and Coalbrookdale Porcelains, as shown in the last photo I have uploaded.
Has some usage wear & wear to the floral decoration in the center, minor wear to the gilding, and overall fine crazing typical of English porcelain, but no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 6 3/4 inches wide x 3 1/8 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
