Coalport 2/138 Hand painted Birds Burgundy & Gold Saucer Circa 1820-1825
Nice porcelain saucer with gadrooned edge. Decorated with a gold gilt medallion surrounded by gold leaves in the center / well of the saucer. Dark maroon / burgundy background four hand painted birds and trees framed in gold scrollwork. Gold gilt highlights to the gadrooned edge. Unmarked except for the pattern number 2/138. Attributed to Coalport. Circa 1820-1825.
Has some wear to the gilding and burgundy ground, several small chips to the edge, and two small discolored hairlines extending off the edge.
Measures approximately 5 3/4 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
